Dr. Soong Ho Kim is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Neurology at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Prior to this, he studied Fragile X syndrome under the guidance of Dr. William T. Greenough and received his Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His primary research interest is the synaptic activities regulated by metabotropic glutamate receptors and how their dysregulation affects the pathogenesis of neurological diseases such as Alzheimer's disease.
