Simone Crivelli , PhD

Simone M. Crivelli is a pharmacist with a passion for neuroscience: discovering drugs to fight neurodegeneration and Alzheimer’s disease. Simone is currently a postdoctoral fellow in Professor Erhard Bieberich’ s laboratory at the University of Kentucky. Simone was born in Kenya but was educated in Italy, learning to appreciate and thrive in diverse, dynamic environments. He received his bachelor/master degree in pharmacy from the University of Turin in Italy, and his PhD from Maastricht University in the Netherlands. He holds awards in the Alzheimer’s disease research field, including the Outstanding Young Investigator Award by the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation and the international research internship by the Alzheimer Nederland.
