Dr. Choi is a Research Fellow of Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He completed his doctoral studies at the University of Chicago, where he found that deletion of the transthyretin gene in Alzheimer’s mice accelerates Abeta pathology in the brain, and that adult neurogenesis is altered in mice expressing presenilin 1 mutations and soluble factors from microglia regulate hippocampal neurogenesis in these mice. Currently, Dr. Choi, as a research fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital, is involved in neurogenesis and stem cell projects related to Alzheimer’s disease.
