Sarah DeVos, PhD

Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard University
Boston, MA

Dr. DeVos is a post-doctoral fellow in the lab of Dr. Bradley Hyman at Massachusetts General Hospital in Charlestown, MA. She graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in August 2014, with her PhD in neuroscience. During her graduate school career, Dr. DeVos worked with Dr. Timothy Miller, testing a class of drugs called antisense oligonucleotides (ASOs) that targeted the tau gene. Her work resulted in a series of publications that have paved the way for tau-directed ASOs to be tested in non-human primates with the hope of moving this experimental therapy towards human clinical trials. In Dr. Hyman's lab, Dr. DeVos has focused on developing tools to monitor tau aggregation and different therapeutic strategies to mitigate the formation of aggregates.
