Raffaella Nativio, PhD

Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine
London, UK

Dr. Raffaella Nativio is a lecturer in the Department of Brain Sciences at Imperial College London, leading a research program aimed at investigating the epigenetics of healthy aging and neurodegeneration. Dr. Nativio obtained her PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Cambridge, where she investigated 3D chromatin conformation in genomic imprinting. Following her PhD, Dr. Nativio pursued postdoctoral research at the University of Pennsylvania where she employed multi-omics data integration to investigate epigenetic alterations associated with healthy aging and Alzheimer’s disease. Her work is dedicated to uncovering the molecular mechanisms behind aging and neurodegeneration, and she aims to use this understanding to inform potential therapeutic approaches.
