Dr. Ruzycki is an Assistant Professor in the John F. Hardesty, MD, Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at Washington University School of Medicine. After growing up in St. Louis, he completed his BS at Davidson College and PhD in Molecular Genetics and Genomics at Washington University. His graduate work, under the direction of Dr. Shiming Chen, focused on fundamental mechanisms of gene regulation in inherited retinal diseases. In his current position, he is the Co-Director of an NIH funded Bioinformatics and Biostatistics Core group and has helped more than a dozen vision scientists use new technologies to advance their studies of visual system development or disease.
