Dr. Jin is a Professor of Pathology and Director of Neuropathology at the University of California, Davis. He has previously held positions at the University of Washington, Seattle, and completed his doctoral studies at the University of California San Diego. Dr. Jin is a physician scientist with a strong interest in translating insights in basic neurobiology to clinical advances. His research, conducted at the UC Davis M.I.N.D. Institute, is focused on neuroglia pathology in Alzheimer’s disease and autism spectrum disorders. His multidisciplinary team aspires to develop new therapies for brain disorders impairing neural circuits. In addition to his BrightFocus award, Dr. Jin is the recipient of several NIH awards and serves as the neuropathology director of the UC Davis Alzheimer’s Disease Center.
