Dr. Chaeyoung Kim is a postdoctoral scholar with Dr. Robert Mahley at the Gladstone Institutes and the University of California, San Francisco. She studies the mechanisms underlying the pathology of Alzheimer’s disease related to apolipoprotein E and mitochondria. Before joining Gladstone, Dr. Kim was a postdoctoral fellow at the Mayo Clinic, where she studied the effects of post-translational modifications on Alzheimer’s pathology. Dr. Kim earned her PhD in neuroscience from Seoul National University, her MS in biology from Yonsei University, and her BS in life science from The University of Seoul. Dr. Kim received The Honorable Mention Award for Excellence in Research on Alzheimer’s and Related Disorders from the Alzheimer’s Association.
