Dr. Ana-Caroline Raulin is a Research Fellow in the Neurobiology of Alzheimer’s disease laboratory led by Dr. Guojun Bu at Mayo Clinic, Florida. Dr. Raulin completed her doctoral studies at the University of Sussex in the U.K., where she focused on investigating the structural and biochemical differences between the three major apoE isoforms. She joined the Bu laboratory in 2020 to further continue to investigate the role of apoE in Alzheimer’s disease, and more particularly the protective mechanisms associated with rare, protective APOE variants such as apoE3-Christchurch. Previous experience includes research in medicinal chemistry to develop BACE1 inhibitors and tau PET tracers; and research in the aging and in the Parkinson's disease field.
