W. Brad Hubbard, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physiology and the Spinal Cord & Brain Injury Research Center (SCoBIRC) at the University of Kentucky. He is also a Research Physiologist at the Lexington VA Healthcare System. The research interests of the Hubbard lab are understanding the pathobiology of traumatic brain injury (TBI) and investigating therapeutics in preclinical models that can target critical mechanisms of injury to improve outcomes. Using both blast-induced and impact-induced rodent brain injury models, my lab investigates mechanisms related to neurovascular and mitochondrial dysfunction in mild TBI.
