Mark R. Prausnitz, PhD, is Regents’ Professor, Regents' Entrepreneur, and J. Erskine Love, Jr. Chair in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He earned a bachelor's of science at Stanford University and a PhD at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, both in chemical engineering. 

He carries out research on novel methods of drug delivery using microneedles and other microdevices for delivery of drugs to the eye, skin, and other tissues. 

Dr. Prausnitz teaches an introductory engineering class to sophomores and two classes on pharmaceuticals to seniors and graduate students. He has published more than 325 journal articles (>53,000 citations, h-index of 112) and has cofounded eight start-up companies.
