Dr. Cohen completed her Ph.D. in Chemical Biology at Harvard University under the mentorship of Dr. David Walt. Her Ph.D. research focused on developing new methods for blood-based diagnostics using single molecule detection of various biomarkers including proteins and nucleic acids. She is currently a post-doctoral fellow in Dr. Xiaowei Zhuang’s lab at Harvard University where she works on developing new tissue imaging methods. These methods will be used to understand the organization of different cell types in the brain in Alzheimer’s disease. Her future goals are to develop advanced technologies to better understand disease and identify blood and tissue biomarkers that can aid in diagnostics and selection of therapeutics.
