Hirohide Asai, MD, PhD

Dr. Hirohide Asai is a physician scientist and a post-doctoral fellow of at the Boston University School of Medicine. He joined Dr. Tsuneya Ikezu’s Laboratory of Molecular NeuroTherapeutics in 2011. Asai completed his M.D. at Nara Medical University in Japan and his Ph.D. in Neuroscience with his thesis on the “Involvement of the DNA repair system in neurodegenerative disorders,” also at Nara Medical University. Asai had over 10 years of experience as a clinical neurologist, the last two years of which he worked as a staff neurologist in Japan.
