David Gate, PhD, received his graduate degree in integrative biology of disease from the University of Southern California in 2015. He then trained as a postdoctoral fellow with Tony Wyss-Coray at Stanford University. In 2021, Dr. Gate became a faculty member in neurology at Northwestern University in Chicago. The Gate Lab is focused on the intersection of the immune system and neurodegenerative disease. Dr. Gate's lab employs multiomics strategies to interpret immune system changes related to neurodegeneration. His group is particularly interested in the interplay between T cells and neurogenerative disease antigens. For this work, he has received an NIH R01 grant, Alzheimer's Association Young Investigator Award, and a Junior Faculty Award from the AD/PD Congress. Dr. Gate is also the recipient of the inaugural Early Career Investigator Award from 10x Genomics.
