A team including two BrightFocus-funded Alzheimer’s disease researchers discovered that deteriorating neurons are a source of human brain inflammation, which could pave the way for therapeutics to prevent or treat Alzheimer’s disease.
A new blood test that could facilitate a more accurate diagnosis of Alzheimer’s during the initial phases of the disease is on the way—rooted in critical early support from Alzheimer’s Disease Research, a program of BrightFocus Foundation.
